Sportfishing,
Heavy and Light in Multiple Locations around Australia.
To offer individual tours to all the places in
which you can fish around Australia would be impractical. However,
we can cater for fly fishers, light line specialists, lure anglers,
bait anglers and heavy tackle game fishing anywhere the fish are.
The season for some species is quite short as they migrate past
a certain point so timing can be crucial. We would also like to
point out that seasonal strong winds affect much of coastal Australia
so a good / big enough boat is important. This is a relatively
expensive type of fishing so to maximise your catches we are increasingly
advocating live aboard trips, cutting down on the time it takes
to get to the fishing grounds. If you only have time for a days
fishing we can still arrange this for you, indeed if you are more
interested in catching smaller sport fish a short daily trip would
be a better option. Some destinations will probably spring to mind
when you think of sportfishing in Australia:- Cairns for its huge
Marlin, Broome for the sheer quantity of sailfish. Moreton Bay
for its sharks and countless other destinations for Spanish Mackerel
, Tuna, Trevally, Wahoo, Dorado, Cobia, Queenfish -the list goes
on . What we can do is to put you in the best place at the best
time of year with the very best boats and skippers for the species
you most want to catch! If you are a novice who just wants to land
that dreamed about Marlin or you are not particular about the types
of fish you hook we can certainly provide plenty of excitement
for you .Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further
information, you do not want to be sitting on a big game boat costing
an arm and a leg, out of season, at the windiest time of the year,
feeling sea sick, with a skinny wallet and no fish! Also please
do not under estimate the fighting abilities of some of the smaller
sportfish I mentioned. Species like Spanish Mackerel have huge
dedicated followings in Australia and with the total net catch
being capped for the first time in years we think sport will improve
dramatically! The fishing for Sailfish on the west coast is nothing
short of sensational, in one four day tournament last year 1300
sailfish were raised with more than 300 tagged and released. We
can arrange tournament entry if you wish or simply book as many
days you as want to fish.
On the east coast the emphasis is more on it’s world class Marlin fishery
although there are still plenty of Sailfish available. In one competition last
year there were 493 strikes, 338 hook ups and 176 tagged fish [37 were over 500lb]
from just 19 boats! If you want to experience this sort of action please contact
me for the best performing areas and boats and also the best part of the season!
