Specialist Murray Cod Trips In Northern N.S.W.

This trip is for a minimum of five days or maybe less if you combine it with the bass or eel fishing trips. We fish in the most glorious countryside on rivers and dams with abundant wildlife viewing on offer.

This is a wonderful place to simply get away from it all and see a piece of Australia that few people get to see. Much of our fishing takes place on private property [water levels permitting]. Accomodation is either pub or motel as there is nothing else available due to its remote location .
The fishing itself is lure or fly, we tend not to use baits. The cod are making a strong comeback after years of over-fishing and are subject to strict closed seasons, bag and size limits though we tend to release what we catch. These magnificent fish once grew to over 200lb but a large fish now would be half that. The trip we do is on rivers and impoundments and there is a closed season.
Some of the Bass dams we mention have VERY large Murray Cod in them but are simply not targeted.You tend to forget how sparsely populated Australia is until you come on a trip like this and just glory in the solitude!
