Another little known gem of a fishery with large numbers of big Barramundi present. This is as far south as you really want to go and still be in with an excellent chance of multiple Barramundi hook ups. We still need to place you on the water at the correct time of the year combined with the right moon phase for the water. The river and estuary fishing near Gladstone is improving all the time and is well worth spending a few days on.

The offshore scene is also fishing very well lately and offers better fishing at cheaper prices than at more popular destinations .It is the ideal destination if you do not want to travel too far north as it is driveable from Brisbane or alternatively a short plane trip away.
