Carp
Fishing.
Most Australians would choke at the thought of
fishing intentionally for Carp. They have become so well established
in many waters that they have taken over and it is difficult to
catch anything else. The only problem is you are required by law
to kill all the Carp you catch as they are considered a noxious
pest by the authorities and nearly all Australian anglers.
The
Carp have seriously degraded huge amounts of aquatic habitat resulting
in the serious decline of many native species. We did not think
any one would want to fish for them but after quite a few enquiries
we decided to offer this option.
The catching of the Carp is actually quite straightforward with
large bags easy to come by and fish up to thirty pounds possible.
We think bigger fish are present but no one fishes for them! They
are present in most waterways in the southern states.
Please e-mail
me for the best locations and more details if you require them.
We have noticed the carp numbers and size vary quite considerably
from one water to another!
